Unapologetically Us is an international documentary with the purpose to entertain, inform and educate.

The documentary fights stereotypes revolving women who (also) like women by showing their diversity, it discusses the specific issues these women face within the lgbtq+ community and the society as a whole and shows the contemporary culture of lesbian, bisexual, queer and gay women.

Unapologetically Us relies financially solely on the support of our community.

Motivation
We want every woman who is (also) into women to feel accepted, respected and safe!
Wherever she comes from and whatever her background is.
Every woman. No exception.
Our mission is to bring attention to the women within the LGBTQ+ community.
This film shines light on a minority within a minority.

We will explore their challenges and safe spaces, their similarities and differences.
Worldwide.
Unapologetically Us asks questions that have not been asked but need to be answered. And aims to give an objective, pure and honest view of all women who don't identify as straight.

Behind the camera
Stefanie van Wijk
The Dutch Stefanie van Wijk (1993) graduated college in 2019 with a bachelor degree in journalism. She made her first documentary during her second year of study and started her own business Prunus Media before graduating. Via minors and internships she specialized herself in human-interest topics such as feminism, subcultures, lgbtq+ and European culture.

She currently lives with Lisa and their two birds in The Netherlands.
Lisa Waldera
Lisa Waldera (1995) was born in Germany and went to The Netherlands in 2016 for her bachelor study Psychology. Outside of her study she worked on several media projects and delevoped her skills as a camerawoman and interviewer.
She currently lives with Stefanie in The Netherlands and works on getting her Master diploma in Communication studies.
